George Friedrich Bender - Caroline Fredericka Beutelstein
Freidrich Bender and Fredericka Beutelstein were born in the small village of Eschelbach, Sinsheim, Germany. The parents and at least 9 of their twelve children gradually emmigrated, alone or in groups and settled in New York City. They had 12 children: Georg Ludwig Freidrich, Carl Friedrich, Katharina "Catherine" Christina, Johann Martin "Martin", Heinrich "Henry," Carolina Margaretha, Johann Jacob, Carl, Frederike, Elisabetha, Christine, and Margaretha Rosina.
Friedrich was a cigarmaker in Germany and came to New York around 1873. He made his living in New York as a barber and died just two years after immigrating. His wife Fredericka lived until 1890. Both Friedrich and Fredericka are buried in All Faiths Lutheran Cemetery in Middle Village, Queens, New York.
